All Alone

Icy chills round your heart
A heart that's made of stone
It seems like
Life is out to get you
To destroy what you want
I know that, that you blame me for all that you go through
It could be, so different if you would just let it go

You're all alone
Running out of ways to
Hold on to hope
And it always slips away
You're all alone
But you don't have to
Pretend to cope
There is a brighter way

If you would change your perspective
You'd see that it is true
Life is not always what you want
Sometimes it's hard to bear
I'd be with you, and help you in all that you go through
I love you, let Me change your heart by coming in

You're all alone
Running out of ways to
Hold on to hope
And it always slips away
You're all alone
But you don't have to
Pretend to cope
There is a brighter way

Jottings:
What if the first golden ray of hope
Has turned dark and bleak?
What if the first red ray of love
Has turned gray and black?
What if the first trust and hope
Has turned to disgust and disappointment?
What if the first belief and love
Has turned to dissatisfaction and hate?

Did you find yourself in dark clouds
Having all icicles of rejection encircle you?
Even if you hope for the sun to penetrate through
The evil disgusting elements that haunt you
Could you still find a reason to joy?
Be overjoyed?
Show enthusiasm? or dissatisfaction?

Could disparagement belittle your fragile heart
Like a man crushes the little red ant with his index finger?

Would you still be strong?
Or would your heart grow faint?
Would you show your fear
Like a mirror reflects images?

Would you hope that spectators of your life see the hidden mask
You wear day and night?

Would everything be fake?

Would or could?
Could or would?
Which will be?
Will you choose?
