There Is A Smile

All you wanted was love
For someone to take your hand
And lead you to world's ends

All you wanted was care
Attention solely for you
Embraces only for you

But void
Nothing satisfies
Nothing gratifies
The flesh and desires

All your wants dissolve to nothing
You try to find something satisfying
Perhaps just one thing, just one thing
To soothe the inner silence's scream

Look up to the skies
See beyond the stars in the skies
There, there is a Smile
There is a Smile

I realize that sometimes life is just void. Nothing ever satisfies, nothing ever gratifies. I have had friends who tell me that despite the attempts in finding love or sexual pleasures, one day, sooner or later, everything boils down to nothing.

I've known people who hurt terribly. They were unfortunate people who encountered abuses and harsh inhumane criticism, and they're the ones God loves so much. They did not know He has been speaking to them every moment, trying to lure them into His arms and embraces; they did not care to listen. I am no better.

There is a Smile in the sky, in your heart, in my heart. All you need to do to see it is to look. Just look. You are precious - that's all you need to know.

Information about this song:
This song is very suitable for a rock band with a female vocal (it'll be great if the vocalist can give an Avril Lavigne or Michelle Branch feel). I look forward to meet the girl who can sing this song and provide the feel of it. Most of all, I would like to meet the fortunate band that can play this song.

The chords are simple, just that it requires good combinations and blending.
